The opening of the Science Film Festival takes place today in the Atrium Blitz Megaplex Grand Indonesia, Jakarta. This opening is one of the opening ceremony which took place in four countries, namely Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Cambodia.
This film festival has been held in Thailand since 2005, but a new beginning was held in Indonesia at this time. The show held in cooperation Multimedia Nusantara University, University of Paramadina, Surya Institute, CCF, and the Goethe Institute. International, which publishes Kuark quarks Magazine also contribute to this event.
Present in this opening, Research and Technology Minister, Anis Baswedan as Rector of the University of Paramadina, Yohanes Surya from Surya Institute, Nobert Bass from the German Embassy, representatives from the GoetheInstitute, and Centre Culturel Francaise, and students from various regions in Indonesia.
In his speech on Monday (15/11/2010), the German Ambassador Nobert Bass said, "This festival is for young people who will later make a change." He also said that the festival aims to build a young child's interest in science education.
Science Film Festival the theme "Biodiversity" or biodiversity. The festival will take place starting on November 15 to 30, 2010 in three places, namely Pacific Place Blitz Megaplex, Goethe Institute, and University of Paramadina. The films presented are divided into four subtema, namely family, ecology, natural science, and culture.
