Sea Water Acidity Changed

The changes composition of our air, Carbon dioxide concentration become higher (CO₂) causes the acid degree of rain water lower. Rain water then flow to the river and finally landed to the sea. Those long water cycle currently have affected to the sea water acidity, sea water became more acid, these effect also changes to the fish that live inside sea, the fish ear become wider from the normal size. Actually fish ear cannot be seen because fish ear is located inside the body.

Like human, fish ear have function to arrange the body moving, can say have big involve on arrange the body balance. Biologist oceanology expert David M Checkley from The Scripps Institution of Oceanography at University of California, San Diego, have do some experiment from the acidity changes effect to this animal. By increasing the CO₂ content by six time from the normal condition can make this fish ear become wider. The Otolit (ear bone) of fish grown 15-17 % wider from the normal. This effect like gigantism that is occurred on human.

This experiment is done on the sea with CO₂ contain 3.5 times of the normal concentration, of CO2 contains prediction in the year of 2100, the fact cause fish otolit wider 7-9 percent. The next experiment wants to know what the long effect of that condition changes.
